This is a really cute video that points out the fact that children want to learn. We need to be in the moment to realize that there are so many teachable minutes to share with our children (and students) that are not “scheduled”. I know that I was just like Dr. Connie when my kids were small. We would find many teachable minutes on a walk, in the store, and even while driving somewhere. My patients (also children) now get the benefit of my teachable minutes, especially of how they are doing the appropriate behaviors, using their minds to figure questions out, etc. Teachable minutes should not be used only to correct what is going wrong. So how about you find some awesome teachable minutes with your children or students right now?

    • Thank you so much, Patricia! Sounds like we both did a great job with our own kids and now we are helping others to do the same. If you would please consider recommending my book to parents and pediatricians in your area, we could help many. Together, we can catch them all!
